....except for the sweet stream of lovely blue smoke rising from the WSM. Two 9.5 lb butts are on the grate and I'm feeling like it's gonna be a nice day. Hope yours is too.

I'm skipping the coffee. The fire seems stable and I've got my alarms dialed in on the Maverick. I'm going back to sleep.

My brother-in-law lives in Worthington. Western Mass is as pretty as it gets on the east coast.

My son went to college in south Jersey and it was indeed beautiful. But there is something about the wooded lanes lined with stone walls in the small towns in the Berkshires that is transporting. Now the weather is another story.

The smoke went really well today. Cooked one butt to 175 for slicing. Smoked butt Reubens are off the chain. Cooked the other to 205 for pulling. Truly a well spent Sunday.

It's later in the day, but the air was still, and 4 St. Louis racks and 2 butts were just pulled off the UDS. The whole day was lovely, along with the food.
