Guys,
I'm trying to nail down the competitions I'm going to do this year. We really want to do Dillard, but I think I read somewhere that it is an invitational contest. A. Is this true? B. How do you get invited!? Thanks, HogzGoneWild |

It isnt an invitational per se. She just lets the teams that came last year get first dibs on spots the following year. Every year there are a handful of teams that dont come and a few spots open up. The applications just went out the other day and teams have until May 1st to let her know if they are coming and then until July 16th to pay. So I would say let Jane know that you are interested in attending and she will put you on the waiting list.
If you want to bring a 40' trailer. You will probably not be getting in any time soon. If you want to cook under a couple of ez-ups, you should be able to get in this year. It's the best contest in GA and I dont think that any of the other KCBS contests in Georgia would take it as a slight to hear that. |
