Default Hot Water @ Harpoon

So we vend every year at Harpoon and usually rent a camper. This year we may just tent it, but the camper provided us with a hot water source that was ok with the health inspector. What do people do without campers to satisfy the running hot water regulation?

They are, ideally, looking for you to have a self contained system. Hot water into a sink which drains to a bottle to catch the gray water.

This is specifically for hand washing.

They are OK with the three bin system for dishes.

Igloo cooler with a continuos valve filled with hot water into a bus tub should work.

This Cambro product is perfect for a hand washing station. Usually around 20 bucks at Restaurant Depot. Throw a bucket underneath it and put some handf soap and Purell next to it and you're good to go.

Just ask harpoon to fill the water tank they parked next to you last year with hot water. there was a storm drain below it, should take care of your gray water.

Why not? Last year when I was there we used a cambro hot water/coffee dispenser that we just filled with hot water and closed up. Kept a bottle of hand soap and purell next to it with a bucket under the drain tube on the out door sink. We were just told to keep an eye on the water temp and add new hot water as needed and to empty the grey water as needed. Used the 3 bin system for dish washing on a seperate table away from the food.

I thought you were kidding about the cambro....I always thought it had to be running water. I will buy a one of those cambro's this week.

I know that we've used a Gatorade cooler with hot water in it before and that was acceptable with the Rio Rancho (NM) health department and I think they are the hardest around!!
