Default Is there such a thing as a KCBS Team#

I am signing up for our first contest and the application is asking for the KCBS Team #. I have my membership number but even though my team shows on the KCBS web site I don't recall ever receiving a team number. I plan on asking the organizer of the event but thought I'd ask here as well.

Thanks,
Trent

They probably typed it on the form wrong. I have not heard of a team number and would just enter my member number.

Officially, according to the KCBS and recent BOD discussions, the KCBS Team # is the KCBS Membership number of the "head cook."

I gave it a better home where it could be used to it's true potential. It was a great cooker but it just wasn't a good fit for me personally. I ended up using it more as a high heat grill and it was just too much grill when I was primarily cooking for my family. I only tried one low and slow shortly after the class and I still struggled, but that was me and not the smoker. So I got a Weber Kettle, am building a project smoker and saving up for a Hasty Bake.

We'll be cooking with you.... just on a different team! One of the things I'm looking forward to is meeting the local brethren.

You don't want us cooking with you, we don't have a clue what we are doing! We'll just be happy to get our grills lit.

But I think I have that process down now:

Step 1: Dump in a pile of charcoal
Step 2: Empty an entire bottle of lighter fluid on said charcoal
Step 3: Throw in a match from 5 feet away and

Can't wait to meet all you guys!
