Contest Announcment Crossborder Blues, Brew & Que--Wilson, NY--June 15-17, 2012

Hey, all,

I'm pleased to announce the 2nd annual Crossborder Blues, Brews & Que BBQ competition to be held Father's Day weekend, June 15-17, 2012, in beautiful Wilson, NY, on the shores of Lake Ontario. Last year's event exceeded our expectations, and we raised over $8000 for the Wilson Community Enchancement Charity. This year's event promises to be bigger and better with a significantly increased prize pool, the addition of a grilling contest on Sunday, and great music and brew to go along with the bbq.

The bbq portion of the event features a KCBS contest on Saturday, a NEBS grilling contest on Sunday, and in the spirit of Father-Son activities, a Kids Q contest with on-site judging. The tentative NEBS categories are: Smoked Fish; Any Fowl or Poultry Other Than Chicken; Skewers; and Must Use Beer (all pending NEBS approval). We are part of the Empire State Barbecue Championship series, and our KCBS reps are Don and Nancy Muller.
