Those look great. I'd say mine ended up with about a teaspoon of brown sugar each. When done, the brown sugar wasn't overpowering at all - more like an accent. Weird.

I have got to make some of these! I'm thinking the jalapeno route as well. Maybe a jalapeno slice on top of the sausage, then the cheese. Really...there is a lot of potential here.

Excellent idea! I see endless variations of this, Italian sausage with mozzarella and sun dried tomato, kielbasa with cheddar and mashed potatoes, breakfast sausage with pancake batter then drizzled with maple syrup, etc., etc. Of course bacon is the key!!

I don't remember, have we done a "bacon wrapped" throwdown? I'm thinking what else you could wrap in bacon? I did the Burnt Ends wrapped in Bacon (called them BOINKS).

That is quite possibly the most ingenious thing I've ever seen! I will try this, I was thinking of adding a slice of jalapeno under the cream cheese for some kick...

Nope, we have not had that yet. We have had these Bacon themed ones though, but they are different (although one is kinda close). We have not had a bacon themed Throwdown since back in 2010.

2010 Bacon Throwdown
2009 Bacon Throwdown
2009 Peppers Wrapped in Bacon Throwdown
