One day contests?

Are there any one day / unsanctioned / back yard contests in the Kansas City area? I'd like to do a simple rib cookoff or rib and chicken cookoff just for S's and G's.

Get hold of Larry King, Old Woodshed BBQ. He ran one last year that was not sanctioned at a Truck Stop fairly close by. Can't remember where. I can find out for you.

We are having a BBQ comp on may19 2012. If you want to come for some prize money and fun.it might be a bit of a tour for ya . It's being held in renfrew Ontario Canada . If you are travelling from the south we'd probably wave the entry fee.it would be great to meet some teams from the south and have some ice cold Canadian beer and some BBQ

I wish I could make that trip. May 19th is my birthday, though, and my family is getting together for some trout fishing in Branson that weekend. How about you guys move the comp to Branson and we'll do both? :)
