Love me some pintos....my lovely wife doesn't particularly like me after I eat them . Definitely love a little bacon and jalapenos in mine. I'll also agree with CaseyDog....some Texans do love and put beans in their chili....I did last night!!!

Eating beans don't seem to bother me but, I've always heard if you put some baking soda in to cook with the beans it'll cut down on the flatulence later.
Any truth to this "old wives tale"??

Electric pressure cooker you can have beans ready in 60 min. Also if you want to cut down on the fat use a little olive oil and chicken stock. if you want to cut down on the gas cook a tater with them only draw back don't drop the tater

I am cookin up some pintos right now as we speak! A jalapeño with seeds, an onion, a scoop of bacon grease cause I have no actual bacon right now.

I ate my last bowl this morning so I think I will have to put some on again today.
