Default Brisket with pop-up temp. probe?

I was wandering around one of the local grocery stores today and went to the meat area and the had 8 small briskets in cryovac packs (2-3 pound ea) and every one of them and a little pop-up temp gauge in them (like the frozen turkeys have). Anyone know what it is?
