Started competing in chili cookoffs back in the 1990's and have competed in more than I care to count. I became a CBJ in MiM in 2005, then MBN and in GBA in 2010. I've probably judged 130+- BBQ comps (sanctioned and unsanctioned) over this time. That said, I really enjoy competing more than I enjoy judging, and hope to get back to doing 4 or 5 a year in the near future.

Eggs, chili as a finishing spice as well as using it while cooking, topping for garlic bread, ribs, chicken, used on steak as a finishing spice......... The list is endless!!

Pig candy!! I just made some over the weekend with HDD it was killer. Here is a batch that BBQ Bandit made...almost makes you want to lick the screen. I plan to add this to my rub the next time I cook some ribs.

It mixes well with Santa Maria seasoning, I did some chicken thighs with 50/50 and they turned out fantastic.
