braunfels black diamond $100

found a lightly used unit for $100,

any owners advice would be appreciated before i buy it

I've got their Hondo model. Same as BD but with exterior wire shelves instead of wood.
With the proper modifications, it's an OK backyard smoker for someone who doesn't mind tending to the fire more than a high $ smoker requires.
$100 is a pretty good price for what I can tell from the pic.

You sure that's a New Braunfels? It doesn't have the badge on the right front of the cook chamber. I have a NBBD, and I love it. You've gotta babysit it, and I don't use it as often as I used to, since I built a UDS. It does make a great grill though!
