Default T Day

Made up 2 brines last night- PattioDaddio's Ultimate Turkey Brine and SmokinOkies Thanksgiving day Brine. Will put a 16lb turkey in each tonight after work. Tomorrow after a 16 hr soak will take them out, rinse, dry and let them sit in fridge uncovered till Thursday. Plan to ice the breast and put a herb butter with 2 tsp Plowboys Yardbird and 2 sticks of butter under and on top of the skin. One will go on the Egg @ 325 and the other in ther oven on T Day Cant wait.

Oh, no it's a competition... LOL

Do us a favor, see if you can pick up any of the flavors in either brine. A lot of recent articles say it doesn't work, so I'm just asking for some actual responses.
