Anyone know this Southern Pride?

I'm considering a SP BMJ 1000. It is a discontinued model, 500 pound capacity. I'm interested in basic info - did they have problems, are they too old to rely on, etc. Not sure of the manufacture date on this one. Trying to get reliable background info before I go looking.

He keeps up with all of those type cookers.

He will be in Elba this weekend.

Thanks for the tips guys, I sent out a couple of emails.

I also called SP's service number and asked about it. The tech was very helpful and told me of some of the concerns with a model that old. I am looking in other directions now
