Travelling to Elba Al for Foggy Bottom BBQ Fest

If you are travelling to Elba this weekend, DO NOT come through the South Side of Dothan on HWY 231 during the afternoon or evening hours.

The National Peanut Festival is on and the traffic is horrible on 231.

If you are coming in on I-10, go to the Bonifay Exit (I think it is Hwy 79).
It becomes Hwy 167 at the state line.
At Enterprise, you can take the Eastern route around the town and deal with lots of traffic, but Walmart is there if you need them.
The Western route is a bit longer, but barren of traffic.

That'll work also.
About 18 extra miles is all if arriving from the East.
It does avoid Enterprise though.

If anyone arrives from the West on I-10, either 83 or 331 works best.

I'll be in Elba at 0830 ish tomorrow.

thanks for the tip. I came up 79 and it was fine mid afternoon. Will be back onsite around 9 or so tomorrow I hope.

And Sprint has no cell signal at all in Elba. I hear Verizon works, not sure about others.
