When I don't have a lot of time, I do the following:

4 small cans of baked beans
1 onion, diced
Ketchup, to taste
Yellow Mustard to taste
Lots of Brown Sugar
Several pieces of bacon, cut up

Smoke at 250 for a couple of hours. Works great.

Here is a thread with a bunch of bean recipes, but on page two you'll find Bob's beans recipe. Bob is a Brother who lived near Parrothead in the Morris, IL area who made some great beans. They took third place at the Illinois State BBQ Championship! Bob, unfortunately, was killed in a car crash a couple of years ago, but thanks to the forum his bean recipe lives on.

Bob's recipe is in post 26.

Definitely going to have to try some of these recipes. Something about my sides is that they never turn out the same way, close but stilll different.

The apple pie baked beans sound amazing. I'm definitely going to try those.
