Default Sauce Competitions....

So, I apparently entered the Sauce contest at this weekend's competition. I have a few BBQ sauces that I have concocted, but I was wondering are most of these solely BBQ sauces, or is it really, ANY type of sauce?

BBQ sauce. Depending on what sanctioning body, the sauce will either be judged on its own, or with a small amount of pulled pork to see how well it goes with pork. I've judged sauce numerous times and it is always interesting at the variety of sauces that are turned in - everything from almost straight vinegar to some sort of THICK Brown substance the viscosity of thick applesauce. It is amazing what some people think goes well with barbecued meat!
