Default Cooked Some Ribs With Grapefruit Wood For Smoke

Some of you will remember the poor quality Ribs I picked up a Albertson's some time back. They were just sitting in the freezer taking up room so I decided to finally cook them. Almost hated to waste good Rub but did not want to just toss them. These Ribs were mostly Cartilage, really poorly cut. What was edible was not too bad, had about 1-2 ribs per slab.

Rib Rack in the Egg

Ready to foil with Honey Butter

Sauced up

Ready to serve

not to bad. I can see what you mean though. not the best cut. One question. i have a rack similar to yours, except that mine holds kebabs instead. I have the exact same base, the foldable metal frame with square notches in it. Did yours come as a kebab holder or as a rib rack holder?

thanks

Matt

The color of those ribs is fantastic! How did the grapefruit wood taste?

Looks like you did a good job from here Terry... I'm sure they tasted fine and would have been a big hit with most everyone who ate them.

Thanks, this one was sold as a Rib holder but I think it could be used for other things.

Thanks! The flavor was pretty good, the wood seems really mild for the amount of wood I used. I will use it again.
