Default Buying Rubs online

I have used the Simply Amazing rubs and would love to try Plowboy's rubs and maybe a few others I read about here (thanks for all the great tips and advice!).

I have looked for these items in stores locally and have not found any of the ones I desire. I know I can order these, my dilemma - how to afford the shipping costs (usually more than the item cost).

Is there a place online that sells a variety of rubs so that I can combine them to save shipping costs?

Do any of you have recommendations?

Thanks,
Stan

You have a Bass Pro Shop near ya? They sell Plowboys there and a number of good rubs as well.

The nearest Bass Pro Shop is over 100 miles away. I seldom travel in their direction.

Thanks for the "heads up."

Both SM and Oakridge are very reasonable about shipping costs. I doubt you could drive to the store for what they charge. Awesome products in both places imo.

I have only tried two online stores for rubs, I have been pleased with both. One of those was Simply Marvelous BBQ and I must say customer service was well marvelous. What I mean is that when I placed my order the web site quoted me a price and I agreed thus completed the order. A few hours latter I received an e-mail stating I would be receiving a partial refund due to his finding shipping to me slightly cheaper. What other store is going to do that? Most stores would just have a bit more profit in their pockets. Oh and his turn around from order placement to your receiving your order... wow fast is a good word.

With that said I am sure other online companies are great too. I also use Texas BBQ rub and he also has good quick turn around on his rubs of course I only live about fifty miles from him.

I to am a firm believer in if you can find what you are looking for in a local store then by all means cut out shipping then and go just go get it that way.

Steph rules! Sorry if I sound like a broken record but Simply Marvelous most definitely lives up to their name.

Thanks Bpig. We actually loose money on shipping. But, I can't charge what I wouldn't pay myself, so our shipping charges are very competitive. We've also refunded partial shipping charges when our shopping cart overcharged the customer.
