Got a desert idea for ya. Take peaches cut into halves. Fill halves with brown sugar, place on grill direct heat not to hot though. Cook until the sugar melts and is liquidy, make sure peaches are cooked. As you remove pour your sugar into a bowl. Then slice op peaches, skins come off pretty easily before doing this if you'd like, or at least any burnt skin. After slicing toss in the sugar mix, put on plate and top with whipped cream

Asking for suggestions about recipes from a forum is no different than researching cookbooks. With short times you'll be limited to grilling, frying, saute', etc. Seafood fits well as does poaching. Something like sausage poached in confit would be different.

He still has to execute the recipe! But, your mileage may vary!!
