Well, tomorrow I'll be cooking 3 more Naked Eggs.

One soaked in a "juice" I made by blending up onion, red pepper, garlic and water.
One soaked in a fire-roasted Salsa.
One soaked in Chicken broth, because it's just not right that everything tastes like chicken except chicken eggs.

So you're correct in that there is more to come.

Then I also have 6 more eggs soaking in vinegar that will be ready sometime tomorrow, and then soaked in something or other and probably cooked up on Sunday. Unless the results tomorrow are as bad as today in which case I will likely give up and just see how the dog likes them.

Chris, I routinely put raw eggs on the DrumPit and smoke them for 45-60 Minutes.
The Shell allows some smoke flavor to penetrate into the egg white.
These are some smoked pickled eggs I made a while back..Delightful!!!

OK, I remember now. We used to soak eggs in vinegar as a way to get them into a bottle without breaking the shell. It was fun for about 5 minutes.

But, I'm looking forward to more eggsperiments.

Apparently I should have just tried to make them explode in the smoker first!

I wonder if I would be any better at fishing?

When I first saw the title of this thread, I was excited. I love eggs and wanted to jump at the chance to try and smoke them. My wife banned any kind of egg other than fried or scrambled (and those only in small portions) since the night of our honeymoon, over 19 years ago!

Even though some of the pics look like something you would see on Fear Factor, I hope you succeed and figure this out! I'm smoking a pork shoulder Sunday and I am going to put some eggs on just to see what happens!

According to two different folks in earlier posts in this thread, you can smoke them raw in shell successfully. I honestly thought they might blow since I've seen that happen in microwaves. I guess not though. Makes me wonder if ribs explode in the microwave....

You can smoke SPAM in its shell too. Give that a try as well
