The event was great this weekend. Great venue and very nice people. Nice to meet so many of the other teams and be welcomed to the bbq competition world as our team, Brown Liquor BBQ debuted and had a blast. We were thrilled to get a 2nd place chicken call and 10th overall. We learned a ton and are excited to do the next one! Congrats to Gooney Creek BBQ and Dizzy Pig and everyone who walked.

Thanks, that means a lot! From my tracking of local comps I knew you guys would be toward the top and sure enough you were, well done! Unfortunately we have another team obligation which I as the captain have enforced...help me and my family move into our new house that weekend!

That will be one of our biggest hurdles in doing comps, and that's getting the time to do them. Three of the four of us have multiple younger children and it's getting harder and harder to find the time (hence our name and drinking habits, ;-)). But we are excited to confirm that we can compete and do respectibly and try to build from here. You will see us down the road, just not sure when. Tentatively looking at a comp in Chambersburg, PA in October.
