When: December 31st turn in and also January 1st, 2012 turn in... ONE WEEKEND 2 Events. These will be the 1st 2 events of the KCBS yr... and the last and 1st event of the CBBQA.

Yes, for this 1st year event... Last yr we had the same contest at Wildomar with an $11,000 purse, so thanks to the support we received at that one, we are increasing the payout by 40% (even though rent at Knotts is 10X that of Wildomar)... and if you avg out the entry fee it is only $199.50 per contest on the Super Early Bird..

13 DAYS LEFT for Super Early BIRD... Must be in by 11/1/11-- only $399 for both contest ($199.50 avg per).... Both of these contest count for 2012 KCBS... Who will be the #1 at the start of 2012? With 50+ teams expected for both of these days.. someone could start 2012 with 600pts right off the bat and 20% of the contest under their belt (2 out of 10)... Plus what a way to bring in the New Year, Sunny California 65 high 45 or so low on avg.. and this year the Rose Bowl Parade and game are schedueled for Monday 1/2/12 in case those of you coming from out of state want to make it a family vacation.. Knotts, Disney (only a a few miles away) the Rose parade.. Fireworks -- but most importantly, bringing in the New Year, with your extended BBQ family, it just doesn't get any better than this... By the way Weather for Vista next weekend 68/45... Proj weather for Knotts 72/50 -- all sunny days... you can stay snowed in, but why... Fireworks on New Years eve, BBQ competition in the daytime and again on the 1st, lots of BBQ teams, and for those of you coming to San Diego for the KCBS convention, why not come out 2 weeks earlier and make it a vacation.. Oh and maybe pick up 600pts on the competition towards the 2012 KCBS TOY... see you all there.
