My wife's friend gave her this from a hog they butchered.
Just wondering what yall would do with this ![]() It says it's a shoulder, but I've never seen one look like this one. ![]() I'm thinking cook like a butt? It's 6.5#. ![]() ![]() I put some butt glitter on it and into the fridge ![]() I'll be cooking on a UDS, oh ya! Thought I'd put it on early in the morn.

It looks enough like a butt to me that I would cook it just like one.

That's what the shoulder looks like............. with the spine!
I get em like that all the time. I usually take the spine/neck out cuz you can get more rub on the meat directly = more bark = more flavor!! They make great treats for your 4 legged assistants! So yessir! You're on the right track. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Cheers
