Default BBQ Chicken and 1st Brisket

Smoked some bbq chicken and a brisket this weekend for the family. It was the first brisket ive smoked. I think it turned out pretty good. Everyone loved the burnet ends. The brisket weighed 6 1/2 pounds and took me 9 hours to smoke.

Quarters and Thighs about to go into the brine.

Brisket about to get rubbed down with some "Butt Rub"

Brisket all rubbed down.

Brisket about to go into the foil

Brisket out of the cooler after resting an hour and getting sliced up.

Burnt ends

BBQ chicken just off the smoker. I used some "Butt Rub" on it and some local BBQ sauce made here in Ga.

Looks real good! Likin' that butt rub, eh? So do I. Gotta add a little sugar to it sometimes to get desired result. No sugar in that stuff.
