Default Just another tri-tip pron post

Saw some cheap tri tip at the store today, so I decided to do a quick cook tonight for just me and the boys.

First I rubbed it down:

Then I smoked it at about 240.

On the WSM:ImageUploadedByTapatalk1311224910.568444.jpg

It actually got away from me a little and I cooked it longer than I wanted. Here's it at 140 when I pulled it off:ImageUploadedByTapatalk1311224984.670857.jpg

Then to the Genesis for a quick reverse sear. Thank you GrillGrates!

Final temp was 145, a bit more done than I like it, but it was still tender and juicy. The boys couldn't get enough. Kept it very simple with steamed broccoli and left-over slider bun as a dinner roll.

Thanks for looking!

140º is looking good to me! I like my meat alive but just a little still.
