Default Whole Hog Cooker Questions

I'm wonder what the brethren collective has to say about one of these for a whole hog cooker.
http://www.dansons.com/pdfs/country-.../FS-WH1320.pdf

I've got a line on a used one for $1500 ($2500 new + tx and shipping)

Thanks for your input!

So, a pellet hog cooker. Why not?

How big a pig is it "rated" for?

Obviously it can be used for other que, too. If it meets your needs and you like it, go for it!

Don't let the opinions of others influence you, especially if they do not cook with pellets.

I see you are a pellet guy already and know the advantages of pellet cooking.

That seems like a deal--I would grab it in a heartbeat if I had use for it and the $$

And there you have it. I suppose that's WHY. :-) C'mon Tim, it's TGIF FRIDAY!!!!

It does appear to be a decent deal on a smoker that size...

<--- spent too much time in NC growing up. Pig pickin' hogs were cooked on WOOD. Not even charcoal.

Damnit Andy had the first one of those that I'd ever seen - awesome eats came out of it.

If I were in the market for a pellet cooker it would be the Whole Hog. You can cook in one or both chambers at different temps.

I'm surprised that didn't offend anyone. Maybe the 'code' was a little too good.

"Colorful little flowers"? You know................pansies?

LOL
