Thanks John! Tried these rubs after reading your review...I'm glad I did!! Thanks for the heads-up brother!! Good stuff!!

Our "slather" for the tri-tip was very much borrowed from your East of Santa Maria recipe...we've incorporated it into our comp tri-tip method (one-day comps out here use tri-tip in place of brisket, and sausage in place of pork). Kind of a Daddio and Me BBQ tri-tip!!

Thanks Mike!! We really do like the rubs. Will surely be after some more real soon!!

Gonna do some comp practice in the near future using your rubs. We'd be proud to support your efforts further. We're big fans of Stubbs charcoal as well...even more so after speaking to one of their customer service reps (who explained how much they support domestic hunger issues).

Looking forward to some pics of your chuckie also, brother!!

Thank you very much! We are truly blessed to be able to help those less fortunate. We are corporate partners with two great BBQ outreach organizations, Kooker's Kare and Opration BBQ Relief in addition to our 10% of annual revenue donations to Global Outreach and we are constantly looking for other opportunities to give our time, talent and treasure.

Very nicely done. You've got a lucky family.

QQ - is that spatch bird on a Smokey Joe/Tamale Pot smoker?

Yessir, our "smoker joe" is a mini wsm/tamale steamer mod. We've been using it for over a year now...it's our go-to smoker for family meals. Love it!!
