Default Asian Roast Pork/noodles

First, you roast the pork and hit it with a little smoke
till done

Then slice it and toss it in the noodle dish, dress with pickled scud chilies
and cilantro

and EAT

Honestly landarc, it was just superb.
The Fabulous One groaned "You gotta do this again"...the sweet smoky flavour really held with the chow fun noodles.
Love it when a plan comes together!

Looking good. I have never used star anise, does that give it a liquorice flavor?

Yes Brian, you can get hits of that liquorice flavour when you eat a strongly effected part but generally it is just a background sweet anise flavour mate.
It goes brilliant with pork, it really does!

Dang that looks good. I wish that shoulders were sold with skin, just so I can have that yummy cracklin layer, just like what comes with Chinese style roast pork.

Hmmm, no doubt the cracklin' is a wonderous treat.
In this case, the crackling was enjoyed on the pork rack and we also got a boost because this crackling came from a pork belly cut that I used for the throwdown challenge.
Never let pork skin go to waste!
Bet that is a homer Simpson quote, somewhere.
