We chinese like made in American too.
But MANY smokers even with American brand names are indeed made in China.
What is more is that you can not buy same smoker from American.
My smoker is built from my patent ,i.e. A burning element and its burner International Patent PCT/CN2009/001387.
Together with programmable P.I.D. thermostat, you can guarantee in most time temperature fluctuation under 1 C, and occasionally 2 C.
Please check Videos below
www.tudou.com/programs/view/WiuKDjh0HIY programmable smoking at 60C,70C,80 C. step by step to increase. Please note the temperature fluctuation
www.tudou.com/programs/view/70HEipBxpI0 please look the speed of blower and temperature tendency to understand how P.I.D thermostat works

Default I do not know your purpose, for better quality, or for local economy

When we talk quality, I can tell a story.
GE motor has joint venture in Shanghai,China
the Car made by this joint venture is better than the same car made in American. The joint venture paying for US$1000 per month can attract most skilled workers in China. In Shanghai the average wedge is US$500 per month.
If you were patriot, you American would have kicked China out of WTO, or you American would have quit WTO. Congress and White house do not do this, which means that boycotting China is against will of American people.
If you are a true Patriot, I respect you.

Looks like some nice workmanship.

Do I see that it is battery powered? That would be a great benefit when "off site" or in a competition.

Do I understand that it would be $450 per unit with a single $400 shipping per 4-unit order??

If I visit you, can I take one home?

Only electrical parts are blower and PID thermostat, which are powered by 12 V DC.
A 4 a.h. gel battery is good for 20+hours.
A 4 a.h. gel battery is about 3 bls and price in China is less than 10 dollars.

If you buy one piece, CIF Los Angeles seaport is US$850
If you buy 4 pieces, CIF Los Angeles seaport is US$2200, unit price is CIF US$550

I am in Beijing,China. you are welcomed to visit us. You can pickup from our workshop.
