A friend of mine has his mothers 50th birthday coming up in July. She called and asked if I would be willing to cater for appx. 120 people. I figured on pulled pork, baked beans and cole slaw. What sounds like a fair charge to you guys? I was coming up with rough numbers around 500 for materials (90 lbs. uncooked butts, buns, sauce, charcoal, spices, beans aznd slaw) and my time, does that sound like a fair price on both ends?

That would be very reasonable. I usually get about $8.50 or so for a pork plate. But, if this is a good friend -- it's fair and will still give you a return.
