That would be a 1997 Weber Genesis 1000. The EI in the serial number indicates the year. Here's a parts list:

http://help.weber.com/schematics/view.aspx?model=211701

You can find the part numbers you need from that diagram and then possibly find them on Amazon or Ebay but IMO you'll be better off getting the parts from Weber directly. They don't jack up their prices, you should at least price compare.

Are you sure that's a serial number? That doesn't look like a normal Weber serial number. They're normally a letter or two and then a dash or space + a number.

http://www.virtualweberbullet.com/wsmage.html

That's referring to charcoal grills but the letter codes are still good on gassers.

Nickos, try ebay for the bars. You'll find them there for significantly less than Weber. You will find many other parts there as well.

Try this link for ordering

http://store.weber.com/parts/gas/g3_...d=22222&sort=N

Ebay might be cheaper but when you compare prices with Ebay make sure you're looking at the exact same part numbers. Weber has a lot of different flavorizer bar sizes and it would suck to get the wrong one. The Weber website is offering free shipping in the month of May so take shipping costs into account. Here is the message I saw on facebook about their free shipping:

We are celebrating Barbecue Month with free shipping on weber.com! Just enter the code "MAYBBQ2011" at checkout. This offer is good until 6/24/11 and applies to standard FedEx Ground and USPS deliveries within the continental US.

Ya know, if I had that Weber emblem from the front of yours, mine would look really nice.

The Weber 1000's make excellent Coffee Roasters!

And YES, you can still get parts for them!
