Default Pulled Pork ----- fridge or freezer?

One of my Cub Scout Den Leaders smoked 4 butts for our annual Cub Scout Campout this weekend. The pork came off the smoker at 6 this morning. I just got done vacuum sealing it all up. We're eating it on Saturday for lunch. I'm going to reheat it by dropping the bags into hot water.

Basically storing it for 4 1/2 days.

Fridge or freezer?

I'd freeze. It should still be safe, but I think the flavor will be a lot better if you freeze it.

I'd freeze also.

Flavor? Really.....

Not that I dispute it at all, I just never even considered that the flavor would be affected. Do you mean "fresher" or that refrigerating will somehow lessen the flavor?

Fresher. I can usually taste a difference after 3 to 4 days in the fridge. It takes a lot longer to lose that much flavor in the freezer.

I would freeze. I notice a change in flavor after 3-4 days in the fridge. It's not like it's gone bad, it just doesn't taste "right."

Then again I'm talking about refrigerating in a tupperware container, not vacuum sealed, so that might change things.
