Dover,DE 8/19-20 Cancelled

Glad I didn't send money in yet... that does suck. Wonder why, the casino's certainly making money.
 
If I remember correctly--this was a favorite event up in that part of the country.

Always a shame to see a big event cancelled.

They really shot themselves in the foot when they moved it from October to August right between Belair and New Holland and on the same weekend as New Paltz. Plus you've got the Cumberland event on the same weekend now.

This was actually one of my favorite events and we didn’t get to participate last year in the heat versus the cold windy rain in October. I did send our money in and asked Melinda why they cancelled. No response.
 
This makes Middletown an automatic Jack entry this year.
Looks like we're heading to Cumberland if it's not filled up already.
 
Well, I just spoke to Dawn at KCBS and basically , if you paid ... it's "lotsa luck" getting your money back if you already paid like we did. If anybody gets word on a solution to get funds back, please let me know.

PS. I'm looking at other comps to go to and it looks like they just don't take credit cards ....this will become a real problem that KCBS will have to look at because these guys can list a contest with KCBS, take all the money, and splitski and nobody has any recourse. Not a good scenario.
Anybody have any ideas ?
 
OK..I guess I can call off the dogs ..I just got a call from the organizer of Dover and he told me that FOR SURE checks / fees are coming back to everybody so we shall see. Expect it to take 2 weeks he says.
