I'll echo Andrew's congratulations to Podge/Moonswiners, as well as all the other folks that had their names called this weekend! It was an incredible field of competitors.

For those of you on here that may have been on the fence about entering or chose another comp instead of this one. What can I say? You missed out, big time. Kevin, the KCBS reps, event volunteers, and the Hotel Louisville / Wayside Christian Mission folks put on one heckuva comp! Hospitality and professionalism don't even do it justice - top notch.

Rumor is, they're looking into a larger site for an expanded field to have a bit more elbow room next year, but regardless of the details, you can bet that Bourbon Barrel will have our entry in early next year, too.

Congrats again to Moonswiners, Brutus & Co, and all the other competitors - especially Brethren!

Oh, we owe you guys, alright. I didn't think Andrew was going to function at ALL on Saturday morning. I'm not sure we'll be accepting any pre-opened bottles of bourbon from anyone in the future - I guess it's not that hard to find roofies in downtown Louisville on Derby Eve after all. Good seeing you guys again.

Yeah, I was kicking myself in the a$$ for not filling out that form. I knew I had to do it and was feeling like I was getting behind on getting the cooking started after the rib invite. I meant to go back and do it, but obviously never happened. Oh well, at least that check didn't leave Kentucky !
