Tea for 200

How many gallons of tea would I need for 200 people. Thanks

At 16oz per person you would need 25 gal. At 20oz. per person you would need 31.25 gal.

In Georgia I'd go no less than 16oz. If it's going to be hot, maybe 18oz.

All depends on how large the serving cups are. A six ounce cup, allowing for two cups per person will give you roughly 11 servings per gallon and you'll need about 18 gallons. 25 gallons should cover it. Allow for adding ice.

Having lived in Georgia and North Carolina, that larger # still might not be quite enough

If it's hot, and humid, and the event lasts for a little while the tea will be flowing.

If they don't order lemons, I would never just throw them in (unless you include that in the price of your tea). Ever checked the price of lemons?

Thanks everyone. I'm using 16oz cups. I figured around 27 gal would cover it. (guess I was close) I'm doing this on Good Friday at 10:30. The people have a safety meeting then we are going to feed them. After the meeting they have the rest of the day off so I'm guessing not all of the 200 will be there. But I will be prepared for 200 people. When I cooked for them a Christmas I had about 28 racks of BB"s left over. They told me to wrap them up and give them to their employees. They loved it and the owner said his people deserved it.
