HC and BH are very different styles of sauce and are good in their own way. To me HC original is a traditional type of sauce, not too much of anything and very good w/beef and chicken. BH original IMO is very sweet with it's own unique flavor that's IMO best on pork and maybe chicken. BH has a very silky texture that's nice.

I like the HC/BH (Headge Hog?) mixed at about 1/3 BH:2/3 HC; seems like a nice all purpose sauce (though I prefer Hayward's for brisket).

This thread gave me an idea and I tried it on some chicken last night -- I mixed up 50% Head Country and 50% Blues Hog and added just a dash of EVOO. It came out with a nice "nip" to it and glazed beautifully at the end of the cook.

Because of this thread, I bought a bottle of HC original at my local HEB (texas grocery store). This stuff is really bright tasting for a store bought sauce, I kind of like it!
Will reserve judgement till used on some actual food. I do detect a hint of smoke flavor, but it's very subtle, and works well with whatever else they're adding. I give it a solid 8.5 out of 10 on my personal scale(which doesn't mean jack).
