I've never seen briskets at Food4Less (kroger). Never, not even trimmed flats.

Our Kroger's has started carrying cryo'd flats "occasionally." One week they have them then they disappear for two, then they're back. Last time I saw them though, they were $3.49/lb

Our Kroger only carries flats, and being able to get whole packers makes the trip to Walmart or Sam's bearable. Got a choice packer yesterday for $1.98 at Sams. A couple of mom and pop meat markets 'round here might carry 'em, but they're too pricey.

Kroger stores near me in North Texas ALWAYS have briskets. Whole slabs in cryovac, trimmed flats and points, small and large.
Tri-tip, on the other hand, is hard to find here. It's a regional thing. The stores stock what people buy. CD

I'm guessing the good ole days of .99 cent briskets when they are on sale are a thing of the past. Food prices are going nuts.
