To help clarify, because there's always someone who needs clarity, this is what R2Egg2Q had in mind...

Perhaps John should get more into the holiday and were some farking green on St Patricks day and quit being such a poopy that people have to ask where his green is. Anyone for green corned beef?

"Poopy John" is red-green color blind & avoids wearing green! Green Eggs & Ham are good & even better if done on a Big Green Egg or Green Mtn Grill!
If anyone wants to cook some grass from a putting green I say "enjoy"!

If that California BBQ was still open, there could be a double entry opportunity with Wheatgrass.

Prediction......

Someone's going to submit a dyed green food. As landarc mentioned....perhaps green brisket, green pork, green steak.

I just can't see voting for a green piece of meat.
Guess that's the risk you take.

So just to be clear (I guess I'm that guy this time Chris), an entry is good as long as it has something, ANYTHING green in the entry photo? Hence a bunch of sliced brisket with a sprig of parsley is legal? Or must it be PREDOMINATELY green? Or just have the word "green" in the title or list of ingredients? OR it could just be irish style food with NOTHING green in it?

Sorry......yep, I'm THAT guy.

It doesn't need to be predominately green. Keep in mind that voters see just one picture and not everyone reads our full TD entries so I'd guess
a sprig of parsley isn't going to fare too well in the votes. Hopefully we won't see another green steak (thx Al!) as it doesn't look all that appealing.
Ultimately it should answer the TD question & hopefully appeal to voters.

I will defer to R2Egg2Q of course, but if I could make a suggestion, I would suggest you either do something Irish, or something that would be predominantly green in order to fit the rules. After all, your dish must match the featured category and showcase it in a predominant fashion. You of course get to decide what that would be. Of course, it's not my category to choose, I'm just trying to help.

Chris - Your wisdom & experience in these matters is always appreciated.
I agree with your suggestion. It should reduce confusion for voters & adhere
to the rules. I've never cooked anything Irish before & may have to think
carefully about veggies here... :(

Would it count if I am hammered on Smithwick's while I am cooking?
