By submitting entry photos to this Throwdown thread you are agreeing that you have read and understand the Throwdown Rules.

The voting will begin Monday 3/14 after I submit the "Vote" thread and will run through Friday 3/18. All votes will be public.

Don't forget, you can still enter the Latin Cuisine Throwdown until Sunday night 3/6 by midnight Central time.

Our next category will be decided by the winner of the By Brethren For Brethren Throwdown!

They ARE crawdads!!!!

You can call them crayfish, crawfish, budbugs, whatever! I'll ALWAYS call 'em crawdads!


......and they're still under the ice here too! OK, OK.....not ice, but I'm not going "crawdadin" in early March!!


This one might be tough for an inlander like me!

Hi fellas, Did y'all miss me? I just have to get a new job. Can you imagine they actually want me to work, and with overtime too. It's killin me.

Now just what is goin on here, how many throwdowns do you have going on at the same time?

Well, we have our normal two Throwdowns going on for the weekend, "Latin Cuisine" and "Crustaceans". The "Latin" cuisine one ends tonight and will go to voting tomorrow.

We recently wrapped up a "SPECIAL" Throwdown (like the McRib and the Virgin Throwdown where there are different rules and it runs on a different schedule). That one is up for voting now and is called the "My California BBQ Throwdown".

The Throwdown that ended last Sunday was the "By Brethren for Brethren" Throwdown, and it finished voting yesterday with R2Egg2Q declared the winner so he gets to pick the category that starts Friday.

Finally, an entirely new contest called "Brethren Masters" has started recently in a trial fashion to see if it will succeed. These feature a specific cut of meat each week, which I pick. These run for one week (well, the first one ran a couple days longer). These have a different set of rules than the regular Throwdowns, and the winner does not get a certificate, but instead gets irrevocable bragging rights to call themselves "Master of the Porterhouse Steak" or whatever they choose to call themselves.

That's about it. Pretty quiet otherwise.
