So if I'm reading this correctly, the total prize fund is $5,000, the entry fee is $375 and then there is another $400 "vending fee" so that teams can serve 3 oz. samples and, if past history is any indication of present intentions, teams will be required to vend as a condition of entry.

That would mean that a $775 investment for a $5,000 contest held over a two day period and teams will not be allowed to depart the venue until after 2:00am on Monday morning.

Under these conditions, ours will not be among the teams on the field that day.

(that sell for $100 each)
Yes if you are only cooking for $$$ and
do not care for Popular Country Music this
is not a event to be concerned with.

Optional You do not HAVE to do this
$400 Taste of BBQ Vending 3 OZ size.
$3.00 times 1000 possible sales
is $3,000 minus the $400 and whatever
the costs of your products are
plus two more tickets for your workers

If you do not enjoy playing with the crowd
and the whole Gold Record Awards thing
this is not a event to be concerned with.

There will be more teams wanting in than
we can take due to the limited space
so if it does not work just pass and we will see you
later in the season

I would love to do this comp! I'll be looking for the entry form once it is up. I think we will be there for this one.

yes this is an expensive competition but making 3000 dollars and having a great time makes this a must competition.

Outside of not being able to get out like a normal competition, sounds like a normal competition to me...Entry fees are getting rediculas in CA, but that just seems to be a general trend, and if you like that kind of music it is a bonus...Time to start judging more.

And like you said, if ya dont wanna compete, shut up and stay away!...Or what you probably would like to say and I will do it for you!

1000 per the weekend
Each site has 30 amp water multiple hose to fill the tank on your RV
We are on a polo field not in a RV park :)
BBS Hoping to add a sponsor and possible category to Saturday
Not a done deal
KCBS paying out 5 places for sure
After the KC Meeting I will post the payouts
