Default Regrets of items sold....

While cleaning out many of my cookers today, I was thinking of things that I once had and sold for one reason or another, but now wish I had. For me the list is long...

A Pitts ad Spitts trailer smoker
A cargo trailer
FEC 100
And the list goes on....

What have you sold for whatever reason, that you wish you hadn't?

In my case, I still have almost everything I started with in my sig. after deciding to try to up my BBQ/Smoking game and learning from the Pro's on this fine site. I would like to get into stick burning but do not have the room or need for a big cooker. I might could handle a patio model at some point.

Can you be a little more descriptive, it doesn't seem you know much about the car.

I feel your pain. Sounds like a nice ride.

After being screwed over by my first wife in divorce, I realized that I never had anything that I couldn't replace with something better.
Including her.
After that adjustment, I don't regret parting with anything. Because there is something better out there to enjoy more.

That being said, I've never been one to buy a lot of things to try them. I buy things to keep them. So I know what I want to buy before I do it.

My WSM 18” and Weber performer after I got the 1st Primo. I think I am going to pick up another kettle. Talked my son into a 22” WSM so I am set there.

I am supposed to send off 2 Weber's and a Little Chief smoker tomorrow. Those and the rehomed ones in my sight I sorta regret. On the other hand, I found them good homes, instead of them languishing around here. I am holding onto the copper kettle for now, but I have no idea why...

And on the subject of car regrets, I wish I had kept the 70 Hurst/Olds Indy 500 pace car convertible, the 70 Buick GS Stage 1, and the 70 GTO Judge Ram air 3 car. I had many others, but those would be the most valuable today...

I sold some MA stock when it was around $185. Then it grew to $800 and split 10/1. Wish I woulda kept it.

I bought FB after their IPO dive. Made 140% return and cashed in. It would be close to 1000% return if I just kept it now.

I regret selling my Lang 60. I love the cookers I have now, but wish I still had the stick burner for when I have time to tend a fire.

BBQ wise it's my Weber performer. I sold it because I wanted more convenience at the time and got a nice gasser. Then I got a Blackstone and I've used the gasser maybe 8 times in almost 5 years but I've missed having the Weber far more. I need to try vortex wings!
