Default Replaced my Pellet Smoker w/ a BGE and...

I am really loving the Egg. I have cooked ribs, wings, and pork tenderloin...all three tasted better to me than they did in a PS. Yes, there is a little more effort involved but not as much as I thought there would be. I am pleased. No offense to pellet aficionados but I am happy with this decision so far.

I learned to make bbq on an egg. I have many great memories cooking on it. The only reason I got rid of it is because I needed something bigger. You made a great choice getting an egg.

Agreed, I had an Akorn for a few years & loved it. I went away from it for a couple of years & now bought a Weber Summit Kamado because they are just great do all cookers. While it's not my only cooker/smoker it could be if it had to.

I love my Primo. I don't smoke on it anymore now that I have the IVS, but it is still in regular rotation for grilling, roasting and baking.

Thanks guys...great to hear from you all. When I say replace the pellet smoker I mean I sold it and got the egg. Though I made a lot of great food on the PS, I was not satisfied with the smoke profile of it. The smokiness of it combined with the charcoal taste is great. PSs are great but I am happier with the egg. I may get a vertical reverse flow smoker like a Stumps at some point but right now I'm happy with the egg.
