Wood Chunks in SoCal

Hey LA, I live in South OC/Ladera Ranch and there is a great place to get all kinds of wood including chunks etc... The woodshed in Orange has a great selection. Their website is:

They are close to Honda Center so it will be a bit of a drive but the selection is pretty amazing.

I just posted an ad on Kijiji here in Canada for Hickory chunks I am cutting up. Kijiji is similar to CraigsList. I am charging $6.25 for 5 pounds - which I think is reasonable. If you have access to a wood splitter and a good power saw you might consider doing what I did and get a skid.

This is what I split and turned into chunks today after work....about a 30th of all I have to do:

+1 for the Wood Shed! Chunks, chips, logs, sawdust......whaddya waiting for? Back up the truck and get to smokin'!

Cal Char is in Commerce, so it's a little ways off, but they have lots of charcoal & wood in various forms at good prices.

Got any apple orchards or orange groves by you? I'm sure they'd have some pruned branches or dead trees they'd let you have.

its to many free trees around to be paying for wood.. but i understand it is not as readily available everywhere..

Copy and Paste this onto craigslist.. Free Tree Removal and Pruning (if its the right type of wood) That's right we will prune or remove a tree(as long as its not within falling distance of any structures) At absolutely no cost to you! call or email today (and spell your number out with words).. All free wood.. I didn't pay a penny.. just a lil chain saw gas and vehicle gas.. and a lil sweat and an axe.. im all set.. for the year..
