Default Time to make the perogies!

Decided that it was a good morning to make perogies.

Roll and cut.

Fill

Form and press.

Boil until they float.

Then fry in butter and onions

Those look fantastic! Homemade are the best! My dad was Polish and my mom was Slovak, so I grew up with these. Potato and sauerkraut. Awesome!

My wife is Polish and Czechoslovakian. She knows how to make all of this stuff from scratch. I’ll try to take photos the next time we make galumpkis.

Eat!

Beautiful! My profile may say Princeton TX, but after spending my first 40 years in Western PA, my heart is still a "Yinzer."

Bardzo Dobrze! BUT! Pierogi is already plural, no need to make it extra plural by adding the extra s. You don't brush your teeths do you? Put socks on your feets?

One is a pierog, multiple are pierogi.

Sorry, just something that drives me nuts. Carry on...

Those look fantastic! I got to make/eat my first homemade pierogi last year and it was incredible. I think I need to whip up a batch soon

Excellent. I haven't made these in years. Do you mix the potato filling with farmer's cheese?

I’m at the one that Bruce Springsteen sang about, and yes, everything’s alright here!
