Hey guys and gals, I am weekendsaremine; I am from Memphis, originally from Alabama. I stood and watched my grandpa cook till I was tall enough to reach the grate and flip a chicken thigh and the rest is history.
I have been cooking for my entire life, it's what I do for fun. The only bad thing about enjoying cooking as much as I do is that I get no credit for it...My wife simply says, "you enjoy cooking," so I can never get away with making a special dinner for her birthday :crazy:
BBQ is my biggest hobby, I do it for three reasons.
1. It feeds the family.
2. The subjectivity and creativity is amazing.
3. I compete so it quenches my competitive nature.
I look forward to reading posts from everyone here and learning new things about the art of BBQ.
