Default Help with ribfest knowledge

Thinking about jumping into doing ribfests and buying a ribfest trailer. I've run a comp bbq team for years and bbq is a passion of mine and always wanted to transfer that passion of bbq to a job doing it and mine and my wives current life situation right now makes it seem like a good time to take a leap and try. There is a trailer for sale, unfortunately it's a 26 hour drive away but I'm getting as many pics and videos of the components that I can and I have a friend who runs two ribfest trailers who I'm sending everything to as well to get his opinion on it. My mom ran cafeterias and catering and I helped that growing up. Anyone here have any advice or insights on getting started in this?

Around here a Ribfest is a rib competition. Is that what you want to do?

No around here a ribfest is usually 3-6 35' long trailers that sell bbq usually in a park or by a festival. They are usually run by a local service group and feed thousands of people over 4 days.
