Default Chicago BBQ Suggestions

Headed to Chicago next week for a business trip. I will be downtown. Any BBQ suggestions?
Thanks

Blackwood BBQ is pretty good, but it serves the breakfast lunch crowd within the downtown area on Lake street.

You'll need a little more information, as the definition of "downtown" is different for someone that live here.

Where specifically? What is your availability (days, evenings)
Will you have access to transportation (car, cab, uber, don't mind public CTA)

I see kwas just posted Smoque, but that's not near downtown. We have a Brethren lunch next Saturday at BBQ Supply, but again, no where near downtown.

To be honest, I'd skip BBQ. Chicago has so many more things to offer, including a superb Chinatown which is about 15 minutes away. And then we have every ethnic cuisine you can imagine.

You'll be right next to Pilsen neighborhood which has great Mexican food, Chicago steakhouses, some cutting edge places, and a chit ton of down home places once into the neighborhoods.
