I want to introduce myself also

My name is Chris, I live in Beaufort, South Carolina and currently on active duty with the Marine Corps. Before I joined the military I was living in Bucyrus, Kansas and working at a local BBQ restaraunt, very small and a great atmosphere. I work at the Smokehouse for about 4 years while I was in highschool. I learned a great deal from my boss and he is the one that inspired me to start Q'ing. My wife and I are moving back to Kansas this spring or fall once I leave the Corps. I would love to start my own catering business but I still have a lot to learn. I would like to attend some cooking classes that KCBS offers and also a judging class. It nice to meet everyone and will be looking forward to learning some new things.

Welcome Brother Chris,

Grab a cold one and jump into the fray.

You are gonna learn a lot from these guys. If I recall, there are a couple of Brethren who use the Chargriller.

Chris Welcome Brother!! I work right down 69 from Bucyrus in Louisburg. Was the Q joint you worked at Stillwell BBQ? We (the guys I work with) eat Stillwell Q about once a week.

Great to have you on board, even better to have you back in the area. Thanks for you service to our Country.

Yes, it was Stilwell Smokehouse. Doug has sold the restaraunt about 1 or 2 ago. What the smokehouse like now since Doug doesnt own the place? Where do you work at in Louisburg?
