I recently saw a meat injector that looked like a Hudson Bug Sprayer with a large needle on the end of the hose. Does anyone know where to get one of those? It looked like it would hold 2ltr or so.

I've been wanting to make something like this:

Yep, NoCents is the one you want for a pressurized injector.

I prefer the Jack's Old South pump because you have better feel during injection, which is helpful for avoiding blowouts. One tip if you get one though - remove the O ring when it is new and take it to the hardware store for matching. The injector will give you all sorts of problems if you don't have the exact right size and it is hard to match O rings once they are broken or stretched out.

I got one of these from a used mortuary equipment vendor:

I have 2 of those from a different supplier.

I learned quickly that the o-rings will sieze up if you leave the plunger in the barrel while stored. Keep them seperate and they do just fine. I do carry a couple of spares though.

I am spoiled and will never use anything else for injecting.

To each his own though---they are pricey.

Skipjack gets good reviews.

Good Luck,

TIM
