Default The Price for Butt

I'm wondering what the going price per pound is for pork butts. Today I saw Sam's Club had them for $1.58 / lb. Is this a good price?

I get them from the butcher and from Wegman's at $1.29 @ pound.

If I travel out to the Base Commissary I can get them for $0.99 per pound.

Just paid 1.79 a pound for two butts cryo'd from Kroger. Typically my Sam's Club has em for about 1.69 I think it is, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. Last time I went out to my Sam's they didn't have any on the shelves or in the back though, so Kroger it was. I've been craving some Pulled pork.

$1.58 is the everyday price for Sams here.

Its a pretty good price considering Costco is about $1.85, Bilo and Walmart are consistently about $1.99
